Where Do I Start?

Are you considering purchasing a new home and wondering where to start? We have outlined some of the key steps to help you through this process. Although this process can vary for each customer with such factors as site conditions, location, financing and specific consumer needs this list will help customers know what to expect during the home buying process.

  • So you are thinking about a new home? 

Come to our sales office and view the many showhomes on our lot or look at the hundreds of floorplans available on our website. Things to consider may be square footage, how many bedrooms, layout, etc… Don’t see anything that meets your needs, our professional sales team will help you design a plan that works for you. 

  • Find a location

Where would you like your home located? Is this home going to be located on an acreage, in town, modular home park? Sometimes certain floorplans work better on certain lots or what size of home can fit on the lot? Or if you are looking for a location, we can help you find one.

  • Financing

Any financial institution or mortgage broker can help you through the mortgage process. Craig’s Home Sales does not mortgage homes but we do have contact with a few brokers we would be happy to introduce you to one that is right for you.

  • Site Preparation and Services

Once you have decided on a floorplan and have a location in mind, the next step is getting ready for you new house. This includes getting the necessary permits for your home, getting the site ready, utility hook-ups and any additional structures wanted. We can help you with this process or let us do the work for you in what we call our Turnkey Service. 

  • Turnkey Service

A turnkey service is when we at Craig’s Home Sales take care of everything for you. We can purchase the land for you, pull all necessary permits and set up the contractors to complete your home just as you wish. When you do a turnkey there is also an administration and a lawyer fee as we need to include our lawyer for any land purchases etc. This is a cost that you incur and is included in your turnkey budget that is mutually agreed upon beforehand. You see copies of all the invoices, there are no hidden fees or surprise costs. We will then buy the land, apply for permits, pay the contractors and manage the project for you, taking the stress off of you. We will get the home ready for you as you wish, so that all you need to worry about is moving in and unpacking. We have done many turnkeys over the years and it is a service we are proud to offer.

  • PDI

Once your home has been delivered, set up and utilities are connected we then send out our crew to complete what we call a PDI-Post Delivery Inspection. At this point any necessary adjustments are made and you will complete a Walk-Thru Checklist noting any deficiencies. At this time we will also skirt your home, making it ready for occupancy.

  • Warranty & Service

Any deficiencies noted in your walk-thru will then be submitted to Moduline’s service department who will then send out their qualified service technicians to remedy. If you come across any other issues please let us know and we will take care of it.  

  • Home Sweet Home

Congratulations you are now ready to enjoy your beautiful new home.
